I use violent monkey to run the scripts in chrome.

Do you know if there is a way to get this highlighting script to sync keywords (and settings) between all the chrome browsers I use?

I was thinking of one possible solution is perhaps I could update the built-in (default) settings...

Is there a better way?

I have not tested this myself, but I think you need to use the Sync feature of ViolentMonkey that connects to your Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox account for cloud storage. You set it up on Dashboard > Settings > Sync.

(This is because the storage capacity of add-on sync storage is too small in Firefox, not sure about other browsers: https://violentmonkey.github.io/faq/ )
