I'm back and that's what I figured out: it is possible to do, but it would be way better if this script will do its job either on its own, prepared page, either on a specific preassigned website. Otherwise, if the script will try to make any input highlighted on any website, it would be buggy and unstable.
I see. The reason I ask this is for translation purposes: there needs to be non-breaking spaces before some characters in my language. Highlighting them would make it easier to spot them. Would it be possible to apply it on Crowdin? https://crowdin.com/

Wow, you're doing God's work!! Thank you so much! The only snag is that the script stops working when switching to another string. It only works for the first string loaded on the page.

I'd like to have a script that would automatically highlight non-breaking spaces in inputs, and so that would continuously update when I type in search of non-breaking spaces. Does anybody know something similar to this?
