I have an addon called youtube's autoplay no more that gets rid of the function that makes youtube pick other related videos & keep playing even if unsolicited. I could have turned it off on youtube, but the turn off option is strictly associated with my account, so if i'm not logged, the behavior reappears. that's why that addon was created.
many people pick videos by putting them in background tabs to view them later .. . & autoplaying is annoying in this case.
For some other sites, the setting is either saved in ordinary cookies or flash cookies, like for xhamster.com i'd like to have a script that keeps it turned off with or without cookies when i visit the site.
