A geoguessr extension by Han75

This extension allows you to see google street view coverage AT your guess's location. It is IMPORTANT that you read the instructions or the script won't work!!

A few notes:

  • This script only works on single player games, eg games that have URLS like geoguessr.com/game/XXXXX
  • To use: when you are on the game summary page, click on your plonk marker(your avatar marker thing on the map). It will open a google street view page and show you coverage where you guessed. If there's no coverage within a 10-100 KM radius of your marker, it will show you street view of the Eifel tower
  • Why a small radius limit? It is the only way that I could find to effectively reduce the amount of trekker that you have to look at**./li>
  • On that note, if you want consistent, street view only results, *only* guess on roads in countries that have street view coverage.

  1. Find a way to make the google API only return street view, no trekker
  2. Scrape the API key from the website automatically instead of requiring that user enter it.
  3. Get some demo videos and pics out.
  4. Make it work on geoguessr.com/results URLS.
