mlpchan doesn't enforce anon on /anon/ but the users yell at you if you use a tripcode. So this lets you toggle the tripcode/username and save it persistently regardless of whether mlpchan.net wants to lose it or not. Normally if you erase your name/trip and post something, your name/trip is erased permanently and doesn't show up until you specify it again, so this saves it somewhere out of the way instead and restores it when clicking the boxes.
