The default text pad for azure cosmos data explorer has no support for tab, shift+enter, commenting, uncommenting, or shift+tab.

keys	action
shift + enter	adds a new line (return)
tab	adds 4 spaces at the cursor or in front of the selection
shift + tab	removes 4 spaces just before the cursor or in front of the selection if 4 spaces exist
ctrl + k / c	adds // at the cursor or in front of the selection
ctrl + k / u	removes // just before the cursor or in front of the selection if // exist
