There seems to be something wrong with the original version of this script, sometimes it doesn't pause anymore and after reloading the page, it mutes the video automatically.

This is a minimalistic version of the script that might contain the bug or not. I'll be using this myself and see what happens. If anyone still sees the bug happen, let me know.
